Walking the Hebridean Way
OVERVIEW

About this

bespoke

trip

This group of four got in touch with Walk Your Way as they wanted to walk the entire Hebridean Way from Vatersay to Stornoway. They also wanted to continue onto the Butt of Lewis, enabling a traverse of the entire Outer Hebrides. They had complex logistical arrangements, with one member of the group arriving a couple of days later than their walking companions.

We were able to prepare an itinerary that met their needs, using a mixture of accommodation including hostels, guest houses and rental properties. They were keen to self-cater on their trip and we selected properties with appropriate facilities and provided detailed trip notes identifying where they could pick up supplies along their route. This group often stayed two or more nights in the same location to minimise packing and unpacking, with one rest day built into their itinerary.

The Hebridean Way is a wild, lesser-walked trail traversing 10 islands, 6 causeways, and 2 ferry crossings. Our expertise ensured the group never faced logistical headaches from the Outer Hebrides' limited public transport and island services.

Walk Your Way arranged all accommodation and taxi transfers, with additional detailed logistical guidance regarding food and drink and local bus services. These walkers benefitted from GPX mapping of their specific route and personalised support from the Walk Your Way team.
