OVERVIEW
About this
bespoke
trip
When two active friends approached us wanting to run, rather than walk, part of the newly inaugurated King Charles III England Coast Path, we leapt at the chance to build a custom itinerary. They wanted to explore sections of the trail in southern England, combining the journey with local sightseeing and the chance to relax on the beach.
Walk Your Way designed an itinerary so that these runners could jog four sections of the trail between Folkestone and Whitstable on the Kent coast. They also enjoyed two inland sections, enabling them to explore the city of Canterbury and to run a section of the North Downs Way. They covered a total distance of 78 miles almost entirely on well-made and very runnable coastal trails or promenade.
Daily distances allowed plenty of opportunities for sightseeing on the iconic White Cliffs of Dover, a visit to impressive Dover Castle and time to explore the beaches, bays and harbours on the East Kent Coast, including Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Margate.
Walk Your Way arranged all accommodation, baggage transfer and digital mapping for this trip. We provided a detailed trip information pack containing suggestions for sightseeing and leisure activities, along with personalised support from the Walk Your Way team.
